Join Axpo as a Senior Gas Trader and play a pivotal role in our Gas Proprietary Trading team. What you will do:

• Maximize profit through proprietary trading activities and manage own and shared books.
• Conduct in-depth research of market fundamentals and quantitative models to inform trading decisions.
• Evaluate and monitor positions, identifying trading opportunities and risks.
• Adhere to defined limits and compliance standards, managing relationships with internal and external contacts.
• Assist in the implementation of back/mid office and risk processes to ensure efficient operations.

What you bring & who you are:

• Minimum of 5 years of trading experience in European or global gas markets.
• Detailed knowledge of gas market fundamentals with a focus on NWE or Asia.
• Proven experience with using options to complement trading strategies
• Positive track record in cross-commodity trading (oil, coal, power and emissions)
• Advanced programming skills in VBA, Python, or C# are a plus.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and the ability to explain complex risks intuitively.
