About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the period-end closing and reporting in accordance with laws and Novartis required standards
• Month end closing tasks including (not limited to): Accruals, provisions, FCRS reporting (preparations and review); balance sheet account reconciliations: ensure timely resolution and clean-up of action items identified; Health Authority mandated post approval capitalizations; FRA SPOC for IC Reimbursement invoices; accounting and reporting for exceptional items
• Ensure compliance with Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM), Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and regulatory requirements and implementation in internal guidelines.

What you'll bring to the role:

• University level degree in Finance or Chartered Accountant
• Strong professional experience in Finance in a similar role.
• Strong SAP knowledge and profound Excel skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-national, matrix organization
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken), German is an advantage
