What you will do

• Support and execute the continuous development of the operational risk management framework, policies, methodologies, processes, and standards
• Conduct operational risk assessment workshops
• Advise internal stakeholders (all management levels) on any operational risk matter regarding operational risk identification, assessment, control/mitigation, and monitoring
• Identify, assess, mitigate, monitor, and report operational risks (e.g., material transactions, business cases, projects, new products)
• Conduct root cause analysis on operational risk events and recommend corrective measures
• Conduct operational risk reviews and recommend mitigating measures
• Support in building up, managing, and analyzing operational risk data to spot trends and issues in need of further analyses or escalation
• Explore and implement new technologies for more effective and efficient operational risk management
• Build mutual trusted relationships with all stakeholders
• Collaborate and align with other assurance functions

What you bring & who you are

• You hold a University Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or other related fields; further education in Energy Economics, Operational Risk Management, or similar is an advantage
• You have experience in (energy) trading, (energy) markets, and related organizations, processes, and controls
• You are experienced in data analytics and visualizations
• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and Power Apps is highly desirable
• You possess strong knowledge of operational risk management practices and of the internal control system
• You are a thorough and diligent worker, who has strong organizational and prioritization skills and thrives in a dynamic multi-national environment
• You are able to foster effective communication with stakeholders on all levels and build mutually trusted relationships
• You are fluent in English and German; other languages are an advantage
