We are searching for a Legal Specialist who will be responsible for supporting the IKEA business with expertise in areas such as corporate, agreements, litigations, compliance and governance. In this position, it is crucial to partner with the business, guiding and supporting to ensure learning.
We are looking for you who bring:
- a Licentiate or Masters degree in Swiss Law from a Swiss university with very good achievement
- a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a legal and governance environment
- Bar exam and/or relevant further training will be positively evaluated
You have knowledge in the following areas:
- legal and governance competence within Switzerland as well as relevant areas of operations
- very good knowledge of reviewing, drafting and negotiating a broad spectrum of agreements and legal information
- solid understanding of legal systems (including litigation procedures and especially business, employment, marketing, real estate and/or contract law) in Switzerland
- the legislation regarding general corporate activities and operations
- Very good knowledge and application of legislation, legal systems and government policies in business and commerce environment
- capable to explore alternatives to reach outcomes acceptable to all parties
- capable to handle ambiguous or unpredictable situations
- capable to express ideas and opinions effectively in both writing and spoken conversations
- business fluency in both German (native speaker) and English is a must (written and spoken).
- experience as a lawyer working within a law firm / in-house organisation is positively evaluated

Your responsibilities
As a Legal Specialist you will assist to review, support and secure the legal aspects of the businesses and operations in lngka country within the framework of working defined by lngka Group Legal & Governance.
You will:
- be responsible to assist the Legal Manager with review, support and secure legal aspects of the businesses and operations in Ingka for Switzerland
- monitor and secure the legal aspects of IKEA Switzerland and give day to day assistance on legal and governance matters to IKEA businesses and operations in Switzerland.
- cooperate with, integrate in the business, and build good relations with, stakeholders to secure mutually sustainable solutions
- review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements and legal documents
- implement standard processes and ways of working for the legal area
- provide advice to relevant stakeholders in order to reduce exposure to risks and optimize opportunities.
- develop legal competence and provide education to relevant stakeholders
- keep updated in relevant legal and governance developments, including changes in international, domestic and case laws and regulations
