In this role you will be involved in the forefront of technological innovation within the marine industry. Our state of the art R&D center, which is, unique in Switzerland, is pushing the development of the next generation of sustainable marine engines. As a essential part of the R&D team,, you will be faced with highly technical challenges on a daily basis, that allow for a significant learning curve in your engineering knowledge., Are you ready to help us lead innovation and fulfil the following requirements of this challenging role:
Responsibilities:
Perform technical calculations and simulations
Design and development of hydraulic components and components of the injection system
Manage and support the whole process of technical drawing creation with our Engineering Centers based in Asia
Design of component test rigs and support of prototype testing
Support licensees and suppliers, handle request for alternative executions (RAE) & nonconformity reports (NCR)
Support Operations department in failure investigation and root cause analysis
Product care and introduction of product improvement for our portfolio engines
Prepare product specifications and instructions for licensees and suppliers
Create design guidelines and documentations
MSc, BSc or Dipl.-Ing. mechanical engineer
Fluent in English and spoken German (advantageous)
Knowledge of hydraulics and experience with 1D hydraulic simulations
Good understanding of hydraulics and mechanical components and their development
Knowledge in CAD / PLM (NX & Teamcenter) and technical drawing creation
Good use of common IT software
Independent, self-driven and target orientated way of working
