      Our client is a founder lead Swiss Asset Manager with strong presence in the local Swiss market. The company is dedicated to providing investment solutions for institutional and private clients while maintaining the highest regulatory and operational excellence. For the succession planning and its continued growth of the company, we are seeking a hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to drive operational excellence and technological innovation and leadership.

      Job Description

      Financial Expertise

      • Oversee asset management operations with a deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and asset classes (e.g., equities, bonds, private equity, hedge funds, etc.).
      • Ensure compliance with Swiss financial regulations (FINMA) and international standards such as MiFID II and AIFMD.
      • Analyze financial data and key business metrics to support strategic decision-making

      Project & Process Management

      • Drive process optimization across operations, compliance, risk management, and reporting functions.
      • Lead change management efforts to integrate new technologies and streamline workflows.
      • Utilize agile (Scrum, Kanban) and traditional project management methodologies to execute complex projects effectively.

      IT & Data Competency

      • Manage and enhance the firm's technical infrastructure, including trading platforms, portfolio management systems, and risk management tools.
      • Implement advanced data management strategies, leveraging analytics tools to optimize decision-making and risk management.
      • Lead digital transformation initiatives, including process automation (e.g., RPA - Robotic Process Automation).
      • Oversee cybersecurity frameworks to maintain data integrity and IT security.

      Leadership & Stakeholder Management

      • Provide leadership to multi-disciplinary teams with a strong focus on operations and IT.
      • Communicate effectively across all levels, from operational teams to executive leadership.
      • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and board members.

      Risk & Compliance Management

      • Identify and mitigate operational risks related to trading, compliance, and financial processes.
      • Ensure seamless integration of regulatory requirements into daily operations to maintain full compliance with industry standards.

      The Successful Applicant

      • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in operations management within financial services, ideally in asset management in Switzerland.
      • Proven track record in the management of the operations of a growing asset manager, process optimization, digital transformation and risk management.
      • Degree in Business Finance, Legal, Business Administration, or a related field
      • Leadership experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams, with a particular focus on operations and IT
      • Process optimization: Experience in implementing and optimizing business processes, particularly in the areas of operations, compliance, risk management and reporting
      • Experience with the technologies and systems used in the financial industry, portfolio management systems and risk management tools
      • Experience in Operational Risk Management: Knowledge of identifying and managing operational risks, particularly in connection with trading, compliance and financial processes.
      • Regulatory knowledge: Knowledge of Swiss financial market regulation, especially FINMA
      • Experience in implementing and optimizing business processes, particularly in the areas of operations, compliance, risk management and reporting.
      • Change management: ability to control change processes
      • Strategic thinking but at the same time hands-on that his a leading example
      • Flexible personality, multitasking, strong communicator with a down to earth personality
      • Fluency in German and English is required.
