We are supporting a global healthcare and medical technology client in hiring a GL (Senior) Accountant for their Basel-based team. The role supports financial operations for an affiliated entity in Russia, fully from Switzerland. It suits detail-oriented professionals with international GL experience, ideally in healthcare or life sciences.

Job Description

• Ensuring timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings
• Preparing journal entries, handling bank transactions
• Managing recurring entries (such as prepaid expenses, cost allocations, and intangible assets)
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and external auditors, ensuring adherence to IFRS and internal controls, and contributing to ad hoc financial projects

The Successful Applicant

• Educational background in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 3-4+ years of experience in General Ledger Accounting in an international environment
• Strong knowledge of IFRS
• High level of accuracy and a responsible, independent work style
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Familiarity with NetSuite ERP is a plus
• Russian language skills are a strong advantage
